INBAR at the Expo

The International Network for Bamboo and Rattan (INBAR) is the world's leading international organization aimed at using bamboo and rattan to lift thousands of rural communities in Africa, Asia and Latin America out of poverty while protecting the environment. INBAR will have a significant organizational presence at the Shanghai World Expo 2010, which is expected to attract 70 to 80 million visitors and will be the largest expo the world has ever seen. From May 1 to October 31,2010, INBAR will have a state-of-the art Pavilion with the theme "Bamboo and Rattan: Enriching Lives." The Pavilion will use a variety of interactive media to highlight INBAR's worldwide efforts to alleviate poverty and protect the environment through innovative bamboo and rattan solutions. The Pavilion has an advantageous location in the International Organizations Joint Pavilion, neighboring the Theme Pavilion, UN Pavilion, New Zealand and Australia Pavilions among others.  INBAR's Pavilion will host a series of short-films from Africa, Asia and Latin America and bamboo and rattan product display exhibitions coupled by an attractive program of events.
